Zoom problem in GW
I'm having a strange problem in GW at the moment. Whilst playing in windowed mode, if I zoom the camera using the right mouse button, I can zoom in, but not out. This leaves me pretty quickly staring at the back of my head.
If I switch to full screen, the zoom works fine in and out.
I have had no problem prior today with my old system setup. However I have just updated my motherboard, CPU and graphics card, and it's since then this issue has started
I'm running Win7 64bit Home Premium on 2 monitors
Previously I was on a AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ on AM2, with 4 4GB ram, a PNY GeForce GTS 250 512MB graphics card
I'm now running a Phenom II X4 955 on AM3, with 4GB ram, and a Sapphire HD 5770 1GB Flex
Hard drives haven't changed, nor the programs on them, save what's needed for drivers etc from the hardware upgrade.
Any ideas?

Maybe the Guild Wars DAT file needs to be refreshed due to your massive hardware upgrade? It's worth a shot to simply re download a new copy and try that. Weirder things have happened.

I'm having the same problem as well but it seems to be periodic for me. Some days the zoom will work properly and other times it won't. I was under the impression that my mouse wheel was the problem but now I'm not too sure.
Running on Vista x64, Intel Centrino Duo @ 2.1 Ghz (I think... on a school computer right now; will edit the specs when i get back to my dorm) and an ATI 512 MB graphics card.
Thing is the OP and I seem to have completely different stats so I'm kinda confused :S
Never attempted zooming with the windowed/full screens so this might be completely irrelevant lol.

Well I gave it a go, but sadly it didn't resolve the issue. Thanks for the suggestion, mind. Was worth a shot

I'm not sure if that is a misprint or not - the zoom is usually done with the mousewheel, not the right button.
But, in any case, most likely there is some hotkey tied to the mousewheel (or whatever), that only actively intercepts the GW function when the game is in windowed mode. This hotkey could be for a number of things - video control panel, MSN, etc., and could be hard to track down.

It's either, Quaker - hold down the RMB and move the mouse forward and back zooms in and out. It's pretty much mouse-look with zoom
There have been a lot of wierd interactions with MSN lately regarding certain key combos, don't know if that might be an issue here.

Oh right, I keep forgetting that. I've even discovered that accidentally a couple of times, but I never use it, so I forget it.

I'm continually using the right mouse button, more so than the scroll wheel.

Alas taking MSN off has not changed the behaviour. Ah well.
Least I can play full screen

Does the mouse's scrollwheel work normally?
(If you don't have a scrollwheel, it's time to join the 21st century. )

Mouse scroll works fine. It's only the the camera control that's affected

Yes. All other controls work as expected; left mouse button, scroll wheel. It is solely the right mouse button, which will allow the camera to zoom in close but not back out gain unless I'm full screen

Well then, it goes back to some app maybe that's running in the background (might be only in the systray). I see that Opera has controls that combine the right mouse button with mouse movements to do things, for example.
If you aren't actually running any apps, you could check to see what background stuff is loading during startup. Try putting "msconfig" into the search bar on the start menu and check the startup tab. You can temporarily uncheck items and reboot, to see if they have any effect.
